Sanjay Dutt's emotional post for mother Nargis: 'Miss you, Maa'

Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt has shared an emotional post on his mother Nargis Dutt's death anniversary.


Sanjay Dutt's mother and actress Nargis Dutt died on May 3, 1981, after battling pancreatic cancer. She died just five days before Sanjay Dutt was set to make his Bollywood debut in a leading role. Despite making his acting debut in Rocky, the actor had previously made a memorable appearance as a child performer in Reshma Aur Shera Back in 1971. Rocky and Reshma Aur Shera were both directed by his father, Sunil Dutt.


Nargis was one of the most celebrated actresses of her time and gave us timeless hits like Mother India for which she even won a Filmfare Award.


On Friday, the actor paid tribute to her by sharing a few throwback pictures on his social media handle. Alongside the photos, Sanjay also wrote an emotional note remembering her on her 43rd death anniversary.


Sanjay Dutt's post read, "Miss you, Maa! Even though you're not here, your presence is felt in every moment. We hold you close in our hearts and memories Maa. Love you (red heart emoji)."


 



In the first picture, an adolescent Sanjay Dutt can be seen standing beside his mother. The second photo features a candid Nargis and Sanjay engrossed in a discussion. In the final picture, Nargis is seen adorably staring at his son.


Sanjay Dutt may look like a gangster in his film appearances with no care for the world but in real life, he is quite a family man. Time and again he shows his love for his parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt in his social media posts.






In one of the posts, he mentioned that there is never a single day when he has not missed her mother.
