Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Friday said that though a neighbouring country has reduced the petrol prices for masses the Imran government has increased rates here.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PML-N Leaders including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Aurangzeb held a press conference and criticized the government for increasing petrol prices.

Abbasi said PM Imran Khan was preparing an army of the people like terminated judge Arshad Malik to suppress the opposition.

He said the government had completely failed to give relief to the masses. He said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman would also be answerable for his acts.

The PML-N leader said 40 per cent of sugar mills owners were sitting in the PM’s cabinets.

Abbasi said his party would strongly oppose the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) in general elections. He said the only solution to all the problems was transparent elections in the country.

He also said that they were barred to speak over the inflation in the National Assembly’s Friday session and the house failed to hold the debate on the issue due to the government’s attitude.

Abbasi said the government has imposed a burden of Rs3,000 on every house and announced a relief package of Rs923 only that was unfair to the financially depressed masses.

Ahsan Iqbal said PM Imran was a stubborn leader and had now become irrelevant to Pakistan’s security centres. He demanded PM’s resignation.

On the increase in petroleum products, he said that the neighbouring country has reduced the prices of petroleum products but the Imran government has increased the rates of petrol here.

The PML-N leader demanded the PM that all reports on sugar should be tabled in the parliament.
