The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intercepted the passenger and recovered 70 heroin-filled from the stomach of a Sharjah-bound passenger at Islamabad International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The accused, a resident of Swat, was trying to go to Sharjah on flight PK-181.
In another raid, ANF seized 20 kg and 400 grams of hashish and seven kg and 200 grams of opium from a passenger’s possession at Jhelum Toll Plaza GT Road.
He was a resident of Peshawar.
Also, ANF and Frontier Constabulary (FC) conducted a joint operation and thwarted a bid of smuggling 90 grams of weed from a parcel sent from Quetta at a private courier office in Bahria Town Phase 4 Rawalpindi.
Likewise, during joint operations in the Khyber region, 16 kg and 185 grams of hashish were also recovered from plastic bags.
An investigation has been initiated after registering cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the accused, said ANF Spokesmen.
