In a Customs Intelligence operation on the Quetta-Jacobabad Road, authorities intercepted and thwarted a smuggling attempt worth millions of rupees, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.   

According to details, customs officials acting on intelligence report, managed to seize a consignment comprising more than 12 metric tons of betel nuts and Chinese salt.  

The smugglers were attempting to transport these illicit goods from Balochistan into the Sindh province.

The intercepted betel nuts and Chinese salt are estimated to have a substantial market value, making this operation a crucial achievement in curbing illegal trade across provincial borders.
