Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi has approved two-day physical remand of PTI leader Azam Swati on the request of Taxila Police on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah was told by the prosecution team that Azam Swati was involved and wanted in vandalism and rioting cases registered against him in various police stations in Taxila. Police requested ATC Judge that for thorough investigations, 14 days physical remand of Azam Swati should be granted. After hearing the arguments of the prosecution, ATC judges approved two-day physical remand of Swati and ordered police to present PTI leader in the court on November 7, 2024.

Earlier PTI leader Azam Swati, who had been granted bail in different cases by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday, was again arrested on Tuesday.

Sources said as soon as he stepped out of Attock Jail, he was arrested by Taxila Police and taken to an undisclosed location. Sources explained that strict security arrangements had been made in and around the jail at that time as a large contingent of police was deployed and all roads leading to the jail were closed.
