Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Thursday filed in the Supreme Court (SC) its written reply in the Practice and Procedure Act case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In its reply, the party prayed to the court to reject the petitions filed against the Act.

The party said that as per the verdicts given by different courts, the Act was neither in violation of any law nor of the constitution. “Only parliament is authorized to enact laws and make amendments to them,” the JUI-F opined.

It was further stated in the reply that the law under review had not clipped powers of the Supreme Court as was being normally understood.
