Former singer and actor Rabi Pirzada has this time painted a portrait of Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and daughter of three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
In a tweet on Saturday, Rabi said she sponsors some poor families, including some special children. She said the money she earns from her paintings is spent on welfare of poor people. She said that people are in a painful condition due to the coronavirus pandemic. She said that she has invested a lot of time in this painting of Maryam Nawaz. “Believe me, no one can make a better painting than this. Hope you will not disappoint your own Pakistani talent,” she wrote on her Twitter page.

Responding to critics who raised objections to her painting of Maryam Nawaz, Rabi said, “My brothers and sisters who are objecting to my drawing of Maryam Nawaz should either come forward to sponsor these poor families and special children or keep their advice to themselves. If you think I’m begging for the poor, no worries. I will not take even a single penny from this painting.”
Also, the singer-turned-painter said she and 200 poor families were waiting for Maryam Nawaz’s response to her call for help.
