Punjab IG Police, Chief Secretary likely to change

Punjab administration Sunday started to consider new names for the alternate Inspector General of Police (IG) and Chief Secretary (CS).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, in Punjab, once again, large-scale transfers of officers were under consideration.

As per the report, rumours of the change of Punjab Chief Secretary and IG Punjab were spread in the circles of the provincial authorities.

The report said that the names of Kamran Ali Zafar, Babar Hayat Tarar, and Ahmad Nawaz were being considered for the post of Chief Secretary in place of Jawad Rafique Malik.

In place of IG Punjab Police Inam Ghani, the names of Rao Sardar Ali, Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal, Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, and Mohsin Hassan Butt had emerged for the new chief.
