Punjab Home Department Tuesday issued a notification for increment in the stipends of the civil defense volunteers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the notification, the stipend of all the civil defense volunteers was raised from Rs17000 to Rs32000.

The revised per day stipend for full-time engaged workers was set at Rs1230 and that for occasionally engaged volunteers was Rs960.

The raise will be applied to 1900 volunteers with effect from August 1.

The notification was issued following Punjab Governor’s order.
