President Arif Alvi is considering staying in office after his official term ends in the ongoing month, 24News HD TV channel reported Tuesday.

According to sources, President Alvi has his official engagement in October too.

His term as president is going to end on September 9 and according to the sources, the president will administer the oath to the upcoming Chief Justice on 17th.

President Arif Alvi and his family have not yet indicated their intention to leave or vacate the President's House, they added.

After having important meetings, the president will decide whether to step down or not, the insiders said, adding that he can continue as the president until the new setup takes over the assemblies after the election.
