Pakistan People's Party (PPP) parliamentarian Aseefa Bhutto Zardari raised concerns about the ongoing gas crisis in Sindh during the National Assembly session on Wednesday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, she asked the government, "Gas is not coming to Sindh; how are people supposed to manage?"
In response, Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik explained the challenges, citing the depletion of gas reserves in the country and the high cost of imported gas.
"We can't supply gas if we don't have it," Musadik Malik stated, adding that buying expensive gas would put a burden on the national treasury.
