Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Thursday that Pakistan would welcome Turkiye’s cooperation in the war on terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the Republic of Turkiye’s Ambassador in Pakistan Mehmet Pacacı, who called on him at the interior ministry’s building, the minister said that for Pakistanis, Turkiye was their second home.
He said that Pakistanis had given countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism. “The personnel and officers of Pakistan Army, the police, Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies made history by laying down their lives for the purpose,” he said.
Naqvi also praised the services of the Turkiye’s envoy for further strengthening relations between the two countries.
The minister, on the occasion, announced that he would visit Turkiye in October on the invitation of the government of that country.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehmet strongly condemned the incidents of terrorism in Balochistan.
He, on behalf of his government, assured the government of Pakistan complete support and collaboration in the war against terrorism.
Both Naqvi and Mehmet agreed to increase the number of flights between the two countries.
