A woman and four children died and 15 others were injured when a gas explosion flattened a house on Burki Road in Lahore on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Rescue 1122 personnel, the explosion took place as the house was filled with gas due to leakage and when somebody tried to ignite the stove in the morning at Pangali Village localed adjacent to Burki Road.
The dead included 45-year-old Ramazan Bibi, eight-year-old Ali, six-year-old Sherry, six-year-old Anush and five-year-old Haroon.
The 15 wounded, 11 of them seriously, were rushed to Mayo Hospital for treatment.
Punjab's Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and asked for a report on the explosion.
