In an important statement ahead of the Supreme Court’s verdict on scrapping of the no-confidence motion by the National Assembly deputy speaker, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday expressed his conviction that the Chief Justice of Pakistan would do justice in the case.
“The Supreme Court is the highest court in Pakistan. We all have our eyes on the Supreme Court. We all believe that the Chief Justice will do justice,” said the PPP chairman as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel.
“The social media campaign of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the Supreme Court should be stopped immediately. Otherwise, strict action should be taken against them,” he demanded.
The PPP chairman also issued a separate message on his official Twitter account and has said if it takes 30 seconds to pull off a coup, it should take 30 seconds to undo a coup.
He said justice delayed is justice denied. He said after last week’s constitutional break down in Islamabad, today Punjab Deputy Speaker was locked out of assembly on the day of voting for Chief Ministership and barbered wire around the People’s House in Lahore.
