Parts of the country including Baluchistan, upper Punjab, KP, GB and AJK received rain while the weather experts say the ongoing spell is expected to continue for a couple of days.
Torrents with thunderstorm lashed Lahore and its suburbs, turning the weather pleasant in the provincial capital. According to the Met Office, the spell is likely to continue till Thursday. More than 340 feeders of Lesco were tripped due to heavy rain and wind.
Lightning kills cattle
Lightning killed 15 cattle in the Dukki district of Balochistan province. According to sources, no loss of human life was reported.
Standing crops were destroyed by rain and hail in Quetta, Harnai and surrounding areas.
The Quetta-Harnai national highway could not be restored for traffic even on the second day.
Lowari Tunnel travel advisory
As snowfall continued, authorities issued a travel advisory for motorists of to Lowari Tunnel to avert disaster
Up to four-inch snow fall on the road, and the authorities asked the people to avoid unnecessary travel.
Motorists have been asked to adopt safety measures including use of special fog lights, keeping snow chains, following speed limits and maintaining proper distance between vehicles

Rain with thunderstorms was also reported in Baluchistan and KP, central/south Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan.
Met Office Forecast
The Meteorological Department has predicted more rains in Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. It forecast hailstorms at some places.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm (with isolated hailstorm) is expected in northeastern Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
