One man lost his life while seven others sustained serious injuries in a tragic collision between a car and a tractor trolley on Sargodha Road near Salar-Sayedan in Khanqah Dogran.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the accident took place when a speeding car slammed into the back of a slow-moving tractor trolley on Sunday.
The Rescue 1122 teams immediately responded to the emergency call, reaching the site within minutes.
The channel reported that the body of the deceased was handed over to local police for legal formalities.
All eight victims were residents of Batapur, Lahore. The injured were later identified as Junaid, Nauman, Asad Nadeem, Danish (26 years old), Rida Shehzad (32 years old), Sabad (25 years old), and Adnaush (24 years old).
All the injured were shifted to the nearest hospital in critical condition. Police said investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
