Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s parliamentary party meeting held on Thursday with party president Shehbaz Sharif in the chair.
According to sources, three PML-N leaders said: “Protest against the incumbent government is need of the hour. Workers are concerned over party policy against the PTI-led government. PML-N vote bank belongs to Nawaz Sharif only.”
Sources further said that the party leaders informed party president Shehbaz Sharif that PML-N vote bank belonged to Nawaz Sharif, as party workers and activist in their respective constituencies only talked about Nawaz Sharif. People have serious concerns about Nawaz Sharif’s health, they added. They said that party workers are waiting for the call from former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
It was decided in the meeting that August 14 day would be marked as Tahaffuz-e-Awam Pakistan. It was further decided that PML-N would give tough time to government over hike in flour, sugar and petrol prices. The party leaders condemned NAB’s action in the name of accountability.
Mutual Legal Assistance Bill 2020 also came under discussion during the meeting. Except Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, all the party leaders agreed on the bill. Abbasi raised objection to the money laundering and other clauses of the bill.
