In view of evolving political situation due to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) bellicose posture, former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif Saturday summoned senior party leaders to London, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told 24News that while Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had just reached London, other PML-N leaders like Mian Javed Latif, Senator Irfan Siddiqui and Hamza Shehbaz were in the UK capital before his arrival.
They further disclosed that the party leaders, besides pondering over other matters in their huddle, would also mull giving an important assignment to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
On the other hand, another party leader Hamza Shehbaz, who is also the son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reached Nawaz Sharif’s office in London to meet him.
He will present to the former premier a report on the causes of PML-N candidates’ dismal show in the recently held Punjab by-elections.
Sources told 24News that Nawaz would also give instructions to Hamza, also his nephew, regarding the upcoming by-elections to be held on the National Assembly seats.
