Following refusal by Punjab chief secretary Kamran Ali Afzal to get on with his job, the provincial government on Saturday decided to find his replacement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Earlier, Afzal intimated the secretary Establishment Division about his decision.
In a letter, he said his personal matters had led to his decision to resign. “Therefore, I cannot continue to serve in the same capacity with the new Punjab government,” he said in his letter.
