Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to the site of the Akbar Chowk Flyover project late Saturday.
He reviewed progress and got briefed about the pace of work
He took a round of construction sites and inspected the quality of the work.
He issued directives to speed up the work on the project and stressed that all-out resources should be utilized to make over the delay caused by the downpour.
He said the protection of trees is being ensured during the work on the project.
The project should be completed as soon as possible for the convenience of the citizens, he said, adding that special traffic arrangements be made to ensure the flow of traffic.
The completion of the Akbar Chowk project will provide easy transportation to millions of motorists and it will put an end to traffic troubles.
Lahore Commissioner and LDA DG and other officials concerned were also present.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited a police station in Rawalpindi.
He interacted with the complainants there. He took a tour of the police station including the lockup and scanned through the police record.
The chief minister yesterday visited a police station in Lahore and dismissed a policeman for taking a bribe and demoted two inspectors to sub-inspectors.
