Two kidnapping-for-ransom suspects were killed in an alleged police encounter in Sharaqpur on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police when a police team arrived near 11 Chak to arrest three accomplices of the main kidnappers who were under the custody of police, a gunfight broke out.
In the shootout, two suspects under arrest were killed as a result of the firing of their accomplices, the police claimed. The police recovered the hostage.
Three days ago, Shams Al-Qamar Bajwa was kidnapped from Sharqpur and a ransom of Rs40 million was demanded by the kidnappers.
The dead bodies of the main suspects who were killed in the kidnap-for-ransom case were brought to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura from Sharqpur.
