Former finance minister in the last PTI government Asad Umar was rushed to hospital after he felt pain in the chest during a court hearing in Lahore on Tuesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Asad Umar was in the anti-terrorism court when he felt pain in the chest. Lawyers and court staff lifted the former minister up and rushed towards his car and shifted him to a nearby hospital.
Later, Asad Umar was taken to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
Asad Umar’s lawyer told media men that the former finance minister felt heartache in the courtroom after which he was taken to hospital.
Asad Umar was brought to the PIC emergency ward after he complained of low blood pressure.
He underwent a number of tests including echocardiography which were declared normal by the doctors.
According to PIC administration, Asad Umar is now feeling better as all his tests including ECG returned clear.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub later visited Asad Umar at the PIC and inquired about his health.
Asad Umar was in the court in connection with a case relating to May 9 vandalism.
