'Us women are no joke': Aima Baig to launch ‘Me Too Movement’

Pakistani singer Aima Baig announced to fight for the rights of women in Pakistan and is soon to launch the ‘Me Too Movement’.


The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a story featured as “After performing Umrah, which made me so strong, I had to do something for betterment and empowerment of our country women.”


Singer further claimed that “Certain predators, cheaters and users ruining minor to aged girls has been under my radar for quite some time but I for some reason felt the need to stay quiet, which I am super ashamed of and will always be. Not only me but also a few other women around me are ashamed of not doing anything about it.”


For the past few years, the singer has been a victim of various controversies, including her engagement breakup with actor Shahbaz Shigri and her verbal altercation with singer and music composer Sahir Ali Bagga over the song ‘Funkari’.


She shared “I even have names, but let's just take it step by step with proofs.”



Aima Baig announced her intention to initiate the ‘Me Too Movement’ in Pakistan, emphasizing that women are the reason men exist and should be respected.


The actress also highlighted ‘Us women are no joke’.


She addressed that women are going through so much mental and physical depression, they are even scared to share these heinous acts done to them even to their own families and this is heartbreaking.



In case readers are not aware, Aima Baig recently announced that she had left Pakistan for some time due to some reasons.


The singer was then spotted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
