Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called for an immediate punishments for the culprits behind the lynching of Sri Lanka origin factory manager Priyantha Diyawadana Kumara in Sialkot, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
In his statement, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if the family of a Sri Lankan citizen did not receive immediate justice, it would discredit the country internationally.
Sialkot’s tragedy has put a ‘positive’ national picture at stake, added chairman PPP.
Bilawal said, instead of showing off, the government will have to take concrete steps.
In order to eradicate hatred in the country, masses must target and condemn the extreme thinking, added Bilawal.
Today, the whole world, including the European Union (EU), is asking us the question on taking action against those who spread hatred against us, Bilawal said.
Bilawal said if all the points of the National Action Plan (NAP) had been implemented, there would have been no such abhorrent incidents like the Sialkot tragedy.
Bilawal has further said that all political and religious parties in the country must embrace common thinking to eradicate extremism.
