Additional Session Judge Jahanzeb Chattha has framed the issue on the Vice Chancellor Punjab University (PU) Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and referred the case to Additional Hearings Judge Khaled Mahmood for the hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.

Jahanzeb has adjourned the additional hearings in the defamation suit filed by Assistant Professor of Punjab University Dr Maria against Vice-Chancellor (VC) PU Niaz Ahmad till December 16.

Dr Maria, while filing a defamation suit against VC took the position that the Niaz Ahmad had fired her from the job without any given explanation.

“My personality was tarnished and he sent the letter against me to all Pakistan's universities,” said Dr Maria.
