The Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium on Tuesday was turned into a landing strip by the personal helicopter of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’s chopper landed at the cricket stadium’s field while the match was on. The match was stopped even today as the helicopter was still standing there.
A key official of the club cricket said that the cricket matches of Mian Yasir Shaheed Tournament’ are going at the ground.
The teams involved in club cricket have acquired the ground by paying a regular fee of Rs50,000 per match. However, the sports department of Azad Kashmir is using this ground, which has been constructed by spending millions of rupees, as the personal helipad of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
There is a regular helipad at the Neelam Municipal Stadium, but the Prime Minister's helicopter has been parked in the cricket ground and the ground has been locked.
“It was not expected by the AJK Prime Minister, who is the player of Imran Khan’s led PTI, would treat the cricket this way,” lamented the official.
