Aliza, the Hindu girl, who reportedly accepted Islam and married a Muslim youth out of "free will”, told Jacobabad Additional and Sessions court that she wants to live with her parents.
The court recorded her statement and reserved a verdict till Friday (tomorrow) on a petition filed by Hindu parents of Aliza. They requested the court for ascertaining her age, claiming she had been forced to marry.
About 18 days ago, Mehak Kumari fled her home and married Ali Raza after accepting Islam at Dargah Amrut Sharif, assuming a new name - Aliza Solangi.
On Thursday, Aliza was brought to the court of Additional and Sessions judge Ghulam Ali Kanasro from Darul Amaan in Larkana amid foolproof security.
All roads leading to the court were barricaded with barbed wire to avoid any unpleasant incident on the occasion of her appearance.
The court allowed the girl to hold separate meetings with her husband and parents.
Earlier, a board of the Chandka Medical College produced the medical certificate of Aliza in the court with the comment the girl is 15-16 years old.
The court ordered shifting of the girl to Darul Aman in Larkana till Friday (tomorrow).
