The Pakistan Mission in the United Arab Emirates is providing all-out support and assistance to bring back the body of Gen Pervez Musharraf, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Pervez Musharraf’s body will be shifted to Pakistan for burial as the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to repatriate his body to Pakistan.

According to the sources, the Pakistani mission in UAE is in touch with the late Musharaf’s family and the consulate will facilitate in whatever way it can. 

Musharraf died in Dubai after a prolonged illness on Sunday.

The 79-year-old former military ruler, who had been in the UAE since 2016, was undergoing treatment for amyloidosis at American Hospital, Dubai. 

A special military aircraft will fly to Dubai from Nur Khan airbase to bring Musharraf’s mortal remains back to Pakistan for burial, the sources.
