The Punjab government has announced that the deadline for submission of applications for plots in the Maskan Ravi scheme for journalists has been extended till February 8, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

According to Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir, no application will be received after 12 pm on 8th February instead of 6th. He said that the decision to extend the date was taken on the advice of RUDA chief Imran Amin.

Mir also said that applications for Maskan Ravi can now also be submitted online.

The application form is available on the RUDA website ruda.gov.pk. Journalists who want to apply for plot acquisition can visit https://ruda.gov.pk/maskan-e-ravi. For more information, they can also contact [email protected].

The spokesperson said that 3300 plots will be given to journalists in Punjab through a lottery system. The installments will be paid in easy installments over 10 years.

He said that the scheme is a part of the government's efforts to provide affordable housing to the people.
