The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a set of guidelines for the voters who will cast their ballots in the general elections on February 8, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
The ECP has made it mandatory for the voters to bring their original identity cards to the polling stations, as copies or soft copies will not be accepted.
The ECP has also clarified that expired ID cards are valid for voting, but no other documents such as passports, B forms or driving licenses can be used as substitutes.
The ECP has urged the voters to follow these instructions to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process.
