Govt to convene NA session on Jan 10 for mini-budget approval

The government has decided to convene the National Assembly session on January 10 for the approval of Finance Act (Amendment) Bill, reported 24NewsHD TV on Thursday. 

Adviser to the Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan has said that a summary regarding convening the assembly session on January 10 at 4pm has been sent.

He said the lower house will discuss different proposals on the Finance Act (Amendment) Bill suggested by the Senate.

He invited the opposition to take part in the legislative process, adding that doors for dialogue on all kinds of legislation were open.  

The government will not allow the legislative process to stop for the betterment of the nation and the common man, Babar asserted.
