Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Department has fired 180 doctors who were absent from their duties for a long period of time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
These doctors of grade 17 were not attending their duties for a long time.
These doctors have been sacked as per the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006 (PEDA Act) based on the reports compiled by their respective hospital medical superintendents (MS).
