PML-N to take up issue of 24NewsHD TV’s licence suspension in NA

July 6, 2020 02:59 AM

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the main opposition party in the country, has announced it will take up the issue of suspension of 24NewsHD TV’s licence in the National Assembly.

Condemning the government’s move to suspend 24NewsHD TV’s licence, PML-N central leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Sunday that 24News HD TV also came under attack in the past due to the incumbent government’s anti-media policy. He said that 24NewsHD TV was heading towards closure after suspension of its licence by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on July 3. He said the PML-N would play its role in the National Assembly for the freedom of the media in the country.
