Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Geoffrey Shaw on Saturday came to know why Pakistanis are crazy when it comes to the game of Ludo.

Turning to Twitter, Dr Geoffrey Shaw said “I was challenged to a game of Ludo today and really enjoyed playing it, rolling the dice and cheering while cutting other players on the board.”

Sharing his experience about the most-famous indoor game in Pakistan Ludo, he said, “Just realised why Pakistanis are in ❤ love with this game. It’s addictive and an excellent way of connecting with friends and family.”

To remind the High Commissioner that Ludo is not just a game, one user replied to the same tweet, Sir, Ludo is not just a game. It’s a feeling which Pakistani people feel more.”

Dr Geoffrey Shaw often shares his exploration about the Pakistani culture and food.

In May, he tweeted and shared love for the art of Pakistani cooking and traditional Iftar recipes. The High Commissioner shared with his followers a recipe and video of him preparing ‘Chana Chaat.’

He said: “I tried preparing a traditional Iftar recipe ‘chana chaat’ at home. It is light & refreshing, & a perfect way to celebrate Ramazan. While we practise #socialdistancing this Ramazan, it is good to find small ways to mark this holy month with family and community.”
