Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Sunday said that there is no shortage of vaccine as the province will be getting three million doses in the next few days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Yasmin Rashid clarified that all rumours about vaccines are false and people must not listen to these rumours and get themselves vaccinated.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, the minister said that the inoculation programme in the province is in full swing and Punjab has 1.8 million of vaccine doses in stock.
Yasmin Rashid said that the corona positivity ratio has decreased and reached two percent but the virus has not gone permanently. “We have paced up the vaccination process in the province and we have set a target to inculcate 70 million people in Punjab this year,” the minister said.
The health minister said there is a complete ban on in-door wedding functions so far and complete lockdown on weekends is also the same as before.
As per NCOC statistics, 403 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Punjab and 49 people died due to deadly virus taking the tally to 10,290 in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
