The ICC is mulling over shifting the venue of the T20 World Cup 2024 from the USA and West Indies to England due to the lack of infrastructure development in the USA, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per a report, the lack of proper infrastructure in co-host USA could force ICC to take the 2024 T20 World Cup to England.
USA is facing an uphill task of getting the venues ready for the event and ICC is not happy where they stand as hosts today.
The apex body has reportedly requested England, who will be the co-host for the T20 World Cup 2030, to stage the 2024 edition of the World T20.
"There is a situation at hand. The current infrastructure situation in the USA is not very encouraging and it is likely that the ICC could well swap the hosts for the 2024 and 2030 editions of the event.
It will also allow USA Cricket to get the infrastructure in order before 2030 and allow them to set the house in order too.
Right now, it will be a rushed process to get the venues ready.
