The convoy of PPP led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reached Maraka where the party has setup a Tent City for at least 50,000 participants of the long march.

The PPP has also set up 200 toilets in the tent city. The party has also arranged a dinner and breakfast for the PPP workers.

Bilawal Bhutto will stay overnight in Bahria Town, Lahore and will leave for Nasir Bagh on Sunday morning.

Separately, a torch-bearing rally was held from Karbala Gamay Shah to Nasir Bagh under the leadership of PPP leader Ch Aslam Gul.

Earlier, addressing the participants of his long march in Okara on Saturday, the PPP Chairman said that they were accorded a warm welcome everywhere they went. He said the PPP was protesting against the ‘selected, illegitimate’ prime minister.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party is protesting against a ‘selected, inept and illegitimate’ prime minister.

He said the government which came into power in the name of ‘change’ was proved a disaster for the country. It was only because of the government’s inefficiency, the Quetta and Peshawar blast incidents occurred.

Bilawal in a charged voice said, “PPP’s protest is against terrorism and extremism. We have always been fighting against terrorists and our fight will continue.”

He was of the view that every segment of society was wary of this government as the government had unleashed an economic crisis in the country.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party always fought for the rights of farmers but ‘farmers have been drowned in inflation and the government is committing their economic murder’. He vowed that the PPP would become the voice of the growers.

Bilawal deplored that the prime minister of this country lied to the youth. Now the very youth is saying that the government brought ‘cataclysm’ instead of ‘change’. He said that Imran Khan took a U-turn on every promise he had made with the nation.

He felt exultant to say that his party restored student unions in Sindh. He called upon other provinces to follow the suit. He promised to give ownership rights to Katchi Abadi and Goth dwellers.

Talking to media before his Awami March departed for Lahore from Sahiwal on Saturday morning, the PPP chairman in a very meaningful talk goaded leaders of the opposition parties who are hell-bent on bringing a no-confidence motion against the government to understand an extremely ‘significant’ role of the PML-Q asking them that they should get benefit from PML-Q’s position after wooing the party leadership.

Bilawal said that people expected so much from the Peoples Party. The exultant leader said that the people of Punjab supported PPP’s philosophy of ‘roti, kapra aur makan (bread, cloth, and house)’.

He said that the government was not acting upon the action plan. He asked Prime Minister to dissolve assemblies in four days and fight in elections.

“If you (PM Khan) do not resign, the Jialas will reach Islamabad and make the government give in.

On terrorism, Bilawal said that our country was fully capable of defeating terrorists.
