Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and Imamia Students Organization (ISO) on Sunday held protest rallies against the terror attack on the Qissa Khawani Jama Masjid in Peshawar.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the MWM and ISO held protest rallies in Lahore and Hub, Balochistan in which a good number of women protesters also participated.
In Lahore, the protest rally started from Press Club and ended at the Punjab Assembly. The rally was led by Deputy Secretary-General MWM Allama Hassan Hamdani.
Addressing the protesters, Allama Hassan Hamdani demanded the government to take steps to eradicate the scourge of terrorism.
The MWM leader said the terror attack on the mosque was an attempt to spread anarchy by martyring innocent lives.
The MWM also held a protest rally in front of Lasbela Press Club in Hub against the Peshawar tragedy.
Demonstrators demanded an impartial and transparent investigation into the Peshawar tragedy and that the facilitators involved in the incident be hanged.
