Over the issue of resuming the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) air operations in European countries, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will start an online safety audit of the Pakistani airline tomorrow, March 7.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PIA administration has completed preparations for the audit of the EASA.
During the online safety audit, EASA officials will ask questions related to flight safety from the PIA officials including the PIA flight safety, engineering, flight operations and security.
The channel report said after getting a clean chit in the audit, the EASA team will come to Pakistan and conduct an on-site audit of the PIA and then the ban on PIA's flight operations to European countries will be lifted.
PIA Chief Executive Officer Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat has already claimed to resume air operations in UK and Europe in this year 2023.
PIA has been banned from direct air operations to European countries since July 2020.
