Renowned Pakistani actor Qavi Khan passed away in Canada on Sunday. He was under treatment in Canada as suffering from cancer.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Qavi Khan died at the age of 80 after a short illness. 
Karachi Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmad Shah and actor Behroz Sabzwari said they have talked to Qavi Khan's son who has confirmed the news.
Qavi Khan was honoured with Pride of Performance, Nigar Award and Satara Imtiaz. He worked on Radio, TV, and Film.
