President Asif Ali Zardari will arrive in Quetta today on a two-day official visit, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Monday.
According to the report, President Zardari will meet the Governor of Balochistan, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the respectable elders of the province.
According to the sources, the president will also preside over a high-level meeting regarding security issues in the province during his visit to Quetta.
The sources said that President Zardari will also hold meetings with the political leadership of Balochistan.
It is pertinent to mention that Balochistan's new governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel will take the oath of his post in a ceremony in Quetta today (Monday).
President Zardari has accorded his approval to the appointment of Jaffar Khan Mandokhel as Governor for Balochistan provinces under Article 101 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.
Newly-appointed Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail was born on 26 December 1956 in Zhob District, Balochistan. He was born to Haji Saad Ullah Khan Mandokhel, the founder of SKB Engineering & Technology and a Pakistan Muslim League (Qayyum) activist, and he has three brothers, including fellow politician Humayun Khan Mandokhel, and two sisters. He has done graduation. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) from Constituency PB-19 Zhob in 2013 Pakistani general election. He was appointed as the PML-N Balochistan president in 2023.
