Like in horror movies, groups of bats attacked a Sindh village and caused panic among its residents, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Residents of the Qalandar village near Madeji, a town in Garhi Yasin Taluka of Shikarpur District said some of the birds attacked children and other people outside their homes over the last several days. They claimed to have killed a bat with wing spans of around four feet with blows of sticks.

The residents also claimed that many children have been injured due to bats’ attacks.

According to farmers, a large group of mega-bats is damaging their fields.

They said they were even more frightened by the birds’ screams as dozens of such wild bats are seen above the village, which creates an atmosphere of fear.

They called on authorities to act to destroy the birds, which also caused frightening shocks to children.

It is pertinent that thousands of wild bats attacked fruit farms in Nawabshah near Rohri Canal in July 2021.

Flocks of fruit-eating wild bats attacked banana and mango farms in the area and damaged the fruit yield at several farms of the area.

In December 2019, mega-bats attacked standing crops in a village in Sujawal district of Sindh.

These creatures were reportedly eating mangoes and dates in fruit farms of the area.
