Federal Board of Revenue has made it clear officials are pursuing wealthy retailers and wholesalers on the basis of confirm data and there is no need for small traders to get afraid of field teams, reported 24NewsHD V channel.
FBR officials held a meeting to review the performance of Tajir Dost Scheme. The officials said data of returns submitted by wholesalers and retailers will be analysed and tax evader retailers and wholesalers will be traced and taken to the task.
In this regard, the field staff will also conduct a survey. FBR has also decided to scrutinize tax rreturns of those filing zero returns.
Chief Coordinator of Tajir Dost Scheme Naeem Mir also briefed FBR teams about various suggestions to bring the retail and wholesale sector into the tax net. He stressed that tax-evaders should be dealt with iron hands.
Member Operation Dr. Hamid Atiq, Member Tax Policy Dr. Najeeb Memon, Special Assistant to Chairman FBR Dr. Naveed and Chief Coordinator Tajer Dost Scheme Naeem Mir participated in the meeting of Tajer Dost Scheme. Naeem Mir emphasized the need to change the form and procedure of the Tajir Dost Scheme.
