Pakistani diva Humaima Malick appeared in the ‘Hasna Mana Hai’ show hosted by popular Pakistani sensation Tabish Hashmi and during the conversation she opened up about her struggle with depression and how she managed to get through it.
Humaima revealed that she was going through a really tough time. She was depressed because of her busy schedule and the ups and downs she was going through.
Here are the exact words stated by the lady:
“I was in severe depression. I didn't know, I'd keep working throughout, I didn't realize, and I didn't dislike anything. Any small sentiment would make me cry.”
“Now, after my treatment, this has become really, really better. I'm a joyful, playful girl, but it takes a minute for me to cry. I can cry, I have the emotions inside me, but I don't cry at every particular thing happening around me.”
The actress credited Jindo’s director Anjum Shahzad for making her realize that she was in depression.
The lady further added that she sought medical treatment in order to overcome her affliction, and also expressed her gratitude to Murshid for her assistance.
“I got my medical treatment done from Dr. Javed Iqbal, who is a very famous doctor, and then my murshid, Dr. Mohammad Javed, I keep in touch with him. Because of this, I felt a lot better. My heartfelt consoled...It was all over the place, but Dr. Javed Iqbal and Sir Mohammad Javed, who is my murshid and doctor, I think they made me a better person. Today, when I breathe, it is with peace, and I am no longer in a state of sadness.”
Moving on, Humaima seriously said that she started working at a very young age like she was 14 and now she is 34 be that’s the reason she never had enough time for herself.
“I think that when I worked so much, and the journey that I had in life, I am still working, I couldn't get to know myself much. And I had gone through very bad relationships, so many ups and downs. highs and lows, fame - so much of fame I've seen at such a young age. Understanding, observing all that - we are humans, we may be God's favorite, but a lot is beyond our control.”

It is pertinent to note that Humaima’s recent portrayal of ‘Daro’ in the blockbuster film ‘Maula Jatt’ was highly praised among the netizens for its dramatic and powerful nature, and she was widely acclaimed as one of the film's most beloved characters.
Currently, the lady is busy in her ongoing drama serial ‘Jindo’ airs on Green TV, once again embodying a strong character.
