Amid strong winds, rain lashes most of the parts of Punjab including Provincial Capital Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Gujrat, Chakwal, Rawalpindi and Islamabad late on Saturday night, causing outages in various areas of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Rain has also been reported in Dir, Swat, Haripur and Murree. Due to rain, chill has returned in the weather and summer heat has subsided. According to weather pundits, rainy season will continue during the next 24 hours.


The experts signal that after rain, there will be a complete shift in weather from summer to winter. The rain was reported at almost all parts of Lahore including The Mall, Jail Road, Qartaba Chowk, Johar Town, Green Town and Raiwind Road areas.


During the next 24 hours, rain is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, pothoar region and other parts of Punjab including Lahore.


On Sunday rain with gusty winds and thundershowers is expected at few places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Bitgram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram and Peshawar.


Rain is likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Bhakkar and DG Khan during next 24 hours. In Balochistan weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most of the districts of the province. However, strong winds and thundershowers are expected in Quetta, Khuzdar, Panjgur, Awaran, Zhob, Lasbela, Sibi and Barkhan during the night. In Sindh weather is likely to be hot and humid in most of the districts of the province with partly cloudy weather in coastal areas.
