Karachi police Monday submitted a challan of the minor Maham case after removing the sections related to terrorism.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, in the case of alleged rape and murder of a six years old girl in the Korangi area, police had presented an interim challan in the court of the judicial magistrate Sharqi.
Plaintiff's counsel Muzammil Mumtaz Mayo advocate maintained that further hearing of the case would be held in the Model Court.
On July 28, 2021, the dead body of a six-year-old girl Maham believed to be thrown after committing rape was found in Korangi Ghaus Park Road, Karachi.
According to the initial post mortem report, it was revealed that Maham was raped. And her neck bone was broken after her rape.
MLO Dr. Samia said that Maham was smothered to death. As the rapists were trying to smother her nose and mouth, Maham's neck bone was broken while trying to rescue her from their grip.
When the body of little Maham was found in the area in the morning, the residents of the area felt a sense of insecurity and fear.
Later, the Karachi police of the Korangi area arrested a heartless accused Zakir and presented him before the court of a judicial magistrate where he confessed his crime.
The accused testified before the magistrate that he killed the girl out of fear after raping her and threw her body in a garbage drum.
