Lodhran Police arrested a man for attempting to hang his wife over a domestic dispute in the Lodhran district of Punjab, the 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.

According to Lodhran DPO, a local alerted the police saying the accused was torturing his wife and going to hang her.

The lawmen rushed to the spot and rescued the women, the DPO said, adding that as soon as the accused noticed the raiding squad, he attempted to escape but was arrested after a chase.
