Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi has filed a petition for contempt of court in Islamabad High Court against re-arrest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

IHC Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri has scheduled a hearing of the petition of contempt of court for tomorrow.

The contempt of court petition has been filed against Inspector General Islamabad police and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP Operations), SHO Shalimar police station and others were also made parties.

The lawyers prayed to the court in the petition that contempt of court action should be taken against the parties by summoning them and the parties should be punished under the Contempt of Court Ordinance for violating the court orders.

It also was prayed to the court in the petition to issue orders for departmental action against the parties.
