District and Sessions Court Islamabad has suspended the arrest warrants of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Alcohol and Arms recovery case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
District and Sessions Courts judge Shaista Kundi heard the review petition of Advocate Zahoor-ul-Hassan who appeared in the court on the behalf of Gandapur.
Gandapur’s counsel requested the court to cancel the arrest warrants of his client on the plea that Peshawar High Court had ordered police not to arrests KP Chief Minister in any case.
judge Shaista Kundi asked Gandapur’s counsel to confirm the court when Gandapur will appear on next hearing of the case.
Gandapur’s counsel assured the court that KP CM will appear before the court on September 21 as his client has to appear before ATC on same day in Islamabad. Judicial Magistrate demanded personal surety of an individual who must be resident of Islamabad.
After the assurance of Gandapur’s counsel, the court suspended the arrest warrants till September 21.
