The Lahore High Court (LHC) judge recused itself from hearing the petition against the installation of a firewall and the implementation of a web management system, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the report, Justice Faisal Zaman of the Lahore High Court returned the case file to the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
The petition, filed by the Judicial Activism Panel, challenged the installation of the firewall, arguing that it violates the fundamental rights of citizens.
The petition contends that the firewall installation restricts access to information, thereby infringing upon citizens' basic freedoms.
The case will now be reassigned to another bench as directed by the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
